Placeholders in Email Templates
When you use email templates, there is both plain text, and smart placeholders. The smart placeholders are snippets of text that will automatically adjust itself to be personalized to recipients when it is sent out in actual emails.
Many placeholders are already in the main body of the default email templates. You can insert different ones or remove the default ones. The placeholders available depend on the email template. The table below defines the placeholders and which templates they're available in. For more on how and what you can edit in an email template, go to Edit an email template.
Note: If the template subject has a Placeholder, you cannot change or replace with a different Placeholder. You can only delete the Placeholder. The subject only recognizes the Placeholder that is in the default template. If you want to reset the subject, go to Reset a template.
Caution: If you change the text of these smart placeholders in the email template, they won't work as intended. If altered, recipients of the emails only see fragmented code caused by changes to the placeholders. If you need to restore the default email template after you have changed it, click Reset.

The [%LOOP%] code automatically searches through invoice data that is specific to the intended email recipient's profile. Whenever it finds multiple invoice data valid for the reporting period referenced in an email, the code is replaced by that data. Note: If any smart placeholder is placed within the loop code (e.g., when "Good day [%EMPLOYEE_FN%] [%EMPLOYEE_LN%]" is included in the loop, the sent email shows the greeting for as many times as there are invoices to display), the placeholder data is repeated within the [%LOOP%] placeholders. Currently, there is no way to adjust this behavior in the loop code. Multiple Invoices and emailsWhen you have multiple invoices ready for viewing at the same time, Cimpl will automatically find them and bundle them together in a single notification email if you use the email templates to send out emails to users.
